Huffstutler Wedding // Jennifer and Jacob // Historic Rucker Place // Birmingham, AL

The Historic Rucker Place has been on our list of venues that we have been so eager to work with for some time now! So when Jennifer contacted us about her March 2015 wedding there, we were so excited, especially since we fell in love with them at Jenni's brother's wedding last year (Memorie + Mark). Jenni and Jacob seriously danced all night and could NOT have been any cuter. Little did we know it then, but Jacob had been planning to propose that weekend. His plans got a little spoiled when another family member ended up getting engaged the same weekend, so Jacob had to rework his proposal strategy. He didn't wait too long, because it was only the following weekend when he took Jennifer out for a morning boat ride at the beach. Right as they were pulling back into the dock, he got down on one knee to a completely surprised Jenni! (See their sailboat engagement session here too!) 

The weekend of Jennifer and Jacob's wedding, it seemed spring had finally made it to Birmingham! We couldn't resist taking them to some of our favorite Birmingham photo locations. After the ceremony, we walked straight from the garden to the car and headed to our favorite overlook. We were sure we'd made the right decision to leave the venue for a minute when Jennifer could not stop expressing her excitement saying, "I love Birmingham so much." Those moments right after the "I do"s are our absolute favorite. We are so thankful we were given the opportunity to share in Jenni and Jacob's day and we wish you all the happiness in the world. You two could not be more cute or perfect together!
