Donald Wedding // Mindy + Hank // The Abbott House // Westover, AL

Mindy's day was so intimate and special, it almost felt like a little backyard wedding to us. She and Hank had decided to only include immediate family for their ceremony, and their wedding party was made up with only Hank's father and Mindy's lifelong best friend. The entire day was absolutely joyful and calm and perfect. We love, love, love our big weddings with hundreds of guests and lots of beautiful bridesmaids in gorgeous shades, but it's so nice to have the weddings like Mindy's thrown in every once in awhile to remind us the real purpose of the "wedding." We have never seen two people more excited to marry one another! Mindy had to be one of the most radiant brides we've ever had. The minute she was in the vicinity of Hank, her smile just completely took over, and she was beaming. :)

Even though she was only including a small amount of close family members for their intimate ceremony, Mindy did not skip any detail! Everything about her planning was so intentional and thoughtful. Even down to having some fun balloons for photos afterwards and bringing her absolutely precious pup, Lucy! (Want to know the way to our hearts?? Bring your dog anywhere we are. Done and done.) This was also the first time for us to shoot at the newly named Abbott House in Westover! We loved seeing our vendor-friends Laurel Green Studio and Cakes by Kim working their magic and making Mindy's day just flawless. When we really think about a wedding day after everything's said and done, we really are overly thankful that our brides somehow found US and then chose Sweet Julep to capture their day. Mindy and Hank, we cannot thank you enough for trusting us with your beautiful and extremely special first day together as Mr. and Mrs. Donald!
