What could we possibly say that would accurately describe how beautiful Jessica and Matt's wedding day was? Nothing. Honestly! In mid-October, we were driving to what felt like the middle of nowhere, and to what ended up being one of the most gorgeous properties we've ever seen. We learned that day that the great-great-grandson of the original owner and builder found the property for sale and decided to have the home back in the family! They restored Dry Fork Plantation to its original beauty and then added some! It truly is a sight to see. Jessica and Matt held their family-only ceremony in the beautiful orchard of trees behind the house at sunset. Guests trickled in afterward to the gorgeous courtyard and poolside reception. We watched as Jessica and Matt mingled all night and guests made sure to check out the beautiful property.

We really lucked out with Jessica and Matt. We were actually just taking a walk through Highland Park one day when we got the phone call from Jessica's mom, Evelyn. She told us that they'd lost the photographer they had booked for Jessica's wedding and that someone had recommended SJ to them! We had the contract to Jessica within the next couple weeks, but never got to meet with her and Matt. About a month before the wedding, we were able to meet up in Montgomery to grab dinner and drinks. We loved these two immediately. It was obvious that they were good friends (something we believe is so, so important in marriage!) and we had a blast. If we could meet with our couples in any setting, we think that would be it. We wanna get some food + drinks, and just sit around the table and listen to y'all tell stories and talk all about each other. Jessica and Matt were extremely genuine and kind to top everything off, but we knew we loved them and we knew their wedding day was going to be fantastic. And it truly was nothing short of amazing!
